Life didn’t follow the outline. Neither did this site. Consider this your map to the stories, chaos, plot twists, and people who understand.

Welcome to the messy middle

You do not need a perfect plan to belong here.

Narratively Inconvenient brings parenting, medical plot twists, gaming, creativity, fresh starts, and ordinary life into the same story.

Some stories are funny, while others get personal. Sometimes life drops an experience in your lap, so you need somewhere honest to put it. Either way, there is room for the messy parts here.

The short version
“You do not have to have the next chapter figured out to belong in the story.”Narratively Inconvenient
First things first

Start with the story that started it all.

A quick reality check

You’ll probably fit in here if…

  • Life has changed direction on you more than once.
  • A new hobby has become your whole personality for a while.
  • Humor helps you survive at least some of adulthood.
  • Meanwhile, you are building something while keeping the rest of life moving.
  • Plans change because bodies, kids, careers, and life rarely cooperate for long.
  • At times, everyone else seems to have received instructions you somehow missed.

So, yes. You’re among friends.

A few things to know

Real stories. No pretending.

When I write about health or medical care, I share my own experiences. I do not give medical advice.

If a post includes affiliate links or paid partnerships, I will say so clearly. Still, the opinions are my own.

Most importantly, this is not a perfection project. Plans change, lessons arrive the hard way, and dark humor helps. Along the way, there will be fresh starts and plenty of figuring things out in public.

Glad you found your way here

You can just start where you are.

You do not need to have your life figured out. In fact, you do not even need to know what the next chapter looks like. Just start with the part you have today.
